Have your settings always available?
Your system administrator must configure your user profile to travel with you so that your settings, which are stored on a server, will always be available whenever you log on to a computer. This is especially useful if you log on to different computers in your company, or if you share your computer with another person. When you log on, your user profile is downloaded from the server to the computer you've logged on to. Your user profile is only valid on the operating system for which it was created — for example, a Windows NT 4.0 user profile cannot be used on a computer running Windows 95. When you log off, your user profile is copied back to the server so that any changes made while you were logged on will be available the next time you log on.
